The Residential Plumbing Fundamentals – Level 1 course is a 40-hour intensive, hands-on program designed for beginners who want practical experience with residential plumbing systems.
Approximately 90% of the training is hands-on, with students working on drainage, venting, water supply systems, fixture installation, troubleshooting, and realistic service-call scenarios. Plumbing code concepts are integrated throughout the course to help students understand how practical installations relate to Canadian standards.
The course builds a strong foundation for students pursuing entry-level plumbing work, apprenticeship pathways, or Level 2 training.

The course focuses on advanced drainage and venting systems, water distribution, service diagnostics, inspections, and real-world system evaluation. Training is primarily workshop-based and is designed to help students progress from basic installation work toward more confident residential plumbing responsibilities.
